Sometimes I Feel Like I Am Taken Less Seriously is a series of posters whose aim is to highlight various gender-related issues faced by women in the graphic design industry.
The project started with a series of interviews with French and Swiss female graphic designers presenting different levels of experience and different backgrounds. In each of these interviews, they kindly shared some of their personal experiences relating to how their gender, at times, negatively affected their career. Most of them focus on everyday situations which tend to be normalised and maintain a status quo often unfavorable to women.
These testimonies were then turnt into slogans and displayed as a series of posters. The visual identity uses a limited but bold colour palette as well as simple, organic shapes used like building blocks that suggest a sense of pressure, imbalance or stickiness. Each poster is letterpress printed using laser-cut wooden plates.
