Slightly irregular with a handmade feel to it, Backstage is directly inspired by the way tape is used by roadies to mark equipment and the stage of venues. The typeface exists as part of a larger identity project, and each glyph was first obtained after a lot of playing around with tape.
Caps-only, Backstage is a characterful display typeface treading the line between awkward craftiness and geometry. Dynamic and playful, it leans away from the usual rectangular letterforms that can be found in most other tape typefaces.
